Why did I start a podcast

Updated: Apr 7, 2022

Background:

35% of all yearly CO2 submission accounts for the sector retail - from raw materials, to transportation, to distribution and return. In absolute numbers that accounts for around 17 BN tones per year.

The industry sector Retail is not per se bad, but rather a necessity for providing goods such as food, clothes, furniture, raw materials, toothpaste for our everyday lives in the whole world.

We need to rethink the whole value chain to deliver sustainable solutions to a growing population.

SUSTAINNOW Podcast:

This podcast digs deeper into possible sustainable solutions in all sectors (food, agriculture, raw materials, fashion, etc.) to increase awareness to business owners, investors, and private persons.

Through SUSTAINNOW, listeners learn, get inspired, and get connected with the wider community, and together help build a better future. The podcast was founded in 2021 by Friederike von Waldenfels. Episodes are available wherever listeners find and listen to podcasts (Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, etc).

This podcast is not about gaining sponsorships or advertisement. It is for my own personal knowledge. If I have the opportunity to talk to a lot of smart people, why not sharing it?

Our Vision: „To dig deeper in finding sustainable solutions for Retail.“
Our Mission: „Interviewing founders or experts in the sustainability field to find solution (not only problems) in the whole value chain of Retail.
