  8. Why is the vertical farming industry still so small?

  9. What can you do as an individual or as business owner change to be more sustainable?

Great quotes from the episode by Albert:

"Vertical Farming is a group of technologies which allows us to grow crops indoors, in vertically stacked layers"
"For leafy greens, it's like a greenhouse on steroids. Vertical farming is like multiple greenhouses stacked on top of each other"
"You can grow without any pesticides or herbicides, half of the amount of water you would use in a greenhouse, and 95% of the water you would use in an outdoor field"
"It's as if you are creating a plant paradise"
" We want to be producing huge amounts of products and making vertical farming a staple of agriculture "
" You can produce leafy greens with four times less carbon emissions if you do it in a vertical farm as opposed to open field farming "
